PAIS International provides abstracts for articles in more than 1,600 journals covering the full range of political, social and public policy issues. The database also covers books, statistics, yearbooks, directories, conference proceedings, pamphlets, reports, government documents, and microfiche. Coverage includes documents published worldwide in any of six languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Topics covered include economic, political, and social issues, business, finance, law, international trade and relations, public administration, government, political science, and any topics that are or might become the subject of legislation.

This license allows access by the faculty, staff, students, and walk-in patrons at workstations located in public areas of the libraries of the four separate campuses of the University of Missouri, and Saint Louis University. If Customer is an academic institution, then this license extends to Customer's Authorized Users. Authorized Users are faculty, staff, students and walk in patrons of its libraries.

Customer may use the Databases for search and retrieval purposes in the internal operation of its organization only or, if Customer is an individual, for his personal use only. Customer may also print and download selected records for research and scholarly purposes.

Course Packs: Customer and Authorized Users may use a reasonable portion of the Databases in the preparation of Course Packs or other educational materials.

Electronic Reserve: Customer and Authorized Users may use a reasonable portion of the Databases for use in connection with specific courses of instruction offered by Customer.

Scholarly Sharing: Authorized Users may transmit to a third party colleague in hardy copy or electronically, minimal, insubstantial amounts of the Databases for personal use or scholarly, educational, or scientific research or professional use but in no case for re-sale.

The Databases may be networked throughout the geographic area and may also be made available remotely through secure access procedures that Customer establishes.
